Our Team
Ronnie Stinson Jr
Pastor
Meet Pastor Ronnie Stinson, Jr.
Hello, I’m Bro. Ronnie Stinson, Jr., and it’s truly a joy to serve this incredible community here at Trace Creek Baptist Church. As pastor, my role is multifaceted: I preach and teach the Bible, guide the spiritual growth of our congregation, provide vision for our future, express love and care for our church members, and give leadership to our staff and various ministries.
Why Trace Creek?
My journey with Trace Creek began when I was just over a year old; my family came to serve here, and that was over 50 years ago. I’ve had the privilege of serving on the staff since 2004. I firmly believe God has made it abundantly clear that Trace Creek Baptist Church is where I’m meant to be, and I have a deep love for the people here.
My Family
I’ve been blessed to be married to my wonderful wife, Melanie, since 1990. We have a daughter, Laney Dillard, who is married to Logan. They have enriched our lives with our grandchildren, Campbell Gale, Baker, and Brady.
Leisure and Interests
When I’m not serving at the church, I have a variety of interests that keep me busy and fulfilled. I have a passion for collecting pocket watches and Case pocket knives. My leisure activities span from biking and reading to enjoying professional baseball, high school and college football games, and whatever sports my family is involved in. I also love vacationing and spending quality time with friends and family. On a more tranquil note, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and even have a small-scale garden and a flock of chickens that I care for.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our Trace Creek family!
Nathan Rogers
Minister of Students
Meet Nathan Rogers
Hello there, I’m Bro.Nathan Rogers, and I serve as the Minister of Students here at Trace Creek Baptist Church. In my role, I work closely with our middle school, high school, and college students. My focus is on building strong relationships among the youth and the rest of our church community, as well as discipling through preaching and teaching.
Why Trace Creek?
I joined the staff at Trace Creek in 2003, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else. I chose this church because it’s more than just a congregation; it’s a genuine family that deeply cares for one another.
Family Matters
Family is incredibly important to me, and I’m grateful to have a loving one both at home and here at church. My wife, Jill Rogers, and I have been married since 1998. Our oldest son, Johnathan Rogers, recently tied the knot with our new daughter-in-law, Macy. Our daughter, Sarah Gail Rogers, is studying to become a pharmacist at Union University.
Leisure and Interests
When I’m not engaged in ministry work, you’ll probably find me under the hood of a car. Restoring and working on automobiles is a passion of mine. The great outdoors also calls to me; I love camping and hiking, enjoying the beauty and tranquility that nature has to offer.
Brandon Kilcoyne
Minister of Children
Meet Brandon Kilcoyne
Hello there! I’m Brandon Kilcoyne, your Minister of Children here at Trace Creek Baptist Church. I’ve been part of this amazing church family since 2009, and I’ve been blessed to serve on the staff since 2020.
God has blessed me with the opportunity to minister to our children at Trace Creek. I am a big kid at heart, so I connect well with younger generations. My role covers a wide variety of ages from babies-6th grade. I utilize God’s word each week to guide our children to Jesus and help them grow in their relationship with Him! Through our nursery, children’s church, and Awana Clubs, I partner with our parents with the goal of discipling our Children and bringing them to Jesus!
Why Trace Creek?
Trace Creek has always felt like home to me. The welcoming atmosphere and the loving community make it an incredible place to grow spiritually and serve God.
My Family
I have been happily married to my wonderful wife, Whitney, since 2011. Whitney works as a 6th-grade teacher in the public school system and assists me actively in the ministry. We are parents to five amazing children: Bella, Kolt, Trinity, Livy, and Mallie. In the summer of 2023, we were overjoyed to adopt Bella and Livy into our family.
Hobbies and Interests
I am an avid outdoorsman and a die-hard Star Wars fanatic. When I’m not at church, you’ll find me exercising, hiking, or watching sci-fi shows and documentaries. I have a soft spot for making people laugh and have amassed a considerable collection of comic and Star Wars t-shirts. Oh, and I have a keen interest in history too!
I am excited to serve and build relationships with all of you at Trace Creek Baptist Church!

Vickie Jo Shelton
Ministry Assistant & Senior
Adult Ministry Coordinator
Meet Vickie Shelton
Hello, I’m Vickie Shelton, and I serve as the Ministry Assistant and the Senior Adult Ministry Coordinator at Trace Creek Baptist Church. I’m usually the first face you’ll see when you visit our office or the voice you’ll hear when you give us a call. Whether you have a prayer request, need to book an event, or are seeking information about our ongoing or upcoming programs, I’m your go-to person. I also assist our pastor and worship leader and coordinate various activities for our senior adults.
Why Trace Creek?
I became a blood-bought born-again believer at age nine. I have no doubt that God has had His hand on my life ever since and I am grateful and blessed! I joined Trace Creek back in 1993 and came on staff full-time in June 2007. God chose this church family for me, and all I did was listen. Trace Creek is more than a church; it’s a family away from home, unified in Christ and driven to advance God’s Kingdom. It’s an honor to be part of such a wonderful community of believers.
Family Matters
I’ve been married to my incredible husband since 1980. He understands the nature of my work and is an essential support system for me, even helping lead our Senior Adult Ministry. We’ve been blessed with one son and daughter-in-law, one daughter and son-in-law, and several grandchildren. They are all my pride and joy, and we all love to praise the Lord for His blessings.
Leisure and Interests
I’m an active grandmother, seizing every opportunity to spend quality time with my grandchildren. I have a deep love for the outdoors—from gardening and hiking to enjoying the serenity of sunrises and sunsets. God’s artistic wonders never cease to amaze me.
My interests are numerous—I’m a passionate rockhound, having collected rocks, fossils, and minerals since I was a child. You’ll often find me out in nature, whether it’s mines, mountains, or deserts, hunting for these geological treasures. I love to read both the Bible and fiction, and I have a keen interest in weather phenomena, especially storms. Creativity flows through me, which comes in handy when organizing various events. Travel is another passion of mine; I’ve visited most U.S. states, equally loving the beach and the mountains. When it comes to transportation, I’m all about wheels – I drive a Rubicon jeep, I ride four-wheelers, motorcycles, and bicycles.
I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to our Trace Creek family!
